Glossary

This page defines the core terms used throughout OpenLoomi’s documentation. These are the concepts that underpin how the product works.

Event

An Event is the fundamental content unit in OpenLoomi. Every message from every connected platform is analyzed and grouped with related messages into a single Event — one card per real-world thing happening.

Events are:

  • Automatically prioritized into High, Medium, and Low bands
  • Contain an AI-generated description, all related messages, a timeline of how the event evolved, and the full message thread
  • Repliable, annotatable, and explorable via OpenLoomi’s Chat

See Events for the full guide.

Focus

Focus is one of the two main views in OpenLoomi’s workspace. It surfaces what needs your immediate attention right now.

Events in the Focus view are ranked by priority: High, Medium, and Low.

See Understanding for how Focus relates to the other views.

Connectors

A Connector is an integration between OpenLoomi and an external platform (Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, Gmail, etc.). Connectors are what allow OpenLoomi to read and interact with your messages across different services.

See Connectors for the full list.

Skills

Skills are specialized capabilities that OpenLoomi uses to accomplish specific tasks. OpenLoomi has access to 200+ skills and automatically selects the right ones based on what you ask. You can also manually select skills in the message composer.

See Skills for the full list.

Automation

An Automation is a workflow you create to automate repetitive tasks — such as sending scheduled summaries, responding to specific triggers, or routing messages into your OpenLoomi workspace.

See Automation to get started.
